Domestic flights should have commenced on 21 June 2020, in Nigeria according to the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Musa Nuhu, the government will consider a new resumption date for flights between now and the end of June.
As a follow-up, the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 has said that the Federal Government will carry out flight trials on Saturday, 27 June 2020 at Lagos airport as part of its preparation plans. It is expected that today Wednesday 24th June 2020, NCAA will submit its reports to the PTF on the aviation restart plan; Travelstart will keep you posted.
Meanwhile, the UAE government has announced that Dubai will start welcoming tourists and visitors starting from 7 July 2020. All tourists are expected to get the appropriate entry permit and also have medical travel insurance before heading to Dubai. Tourists will also be required to register their details on the COVID-19 DXB Smart App. Please read this to understand the requirements for travel into and from Dubai. International flights are still yet to resume in Nigeria.
