OOCORP Travel : Book Cheap Local Flights

The Federal Government has announced the reopening of all domestic airports for flight operations.



Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika made the announcement at the Presidential Taskforce (PTF) on COVID-19 briefing on Monday.



Sirika said all airports in the country including those in Jalingo, Gombe, amongst others could restart operations.



He said, “Regarding approvals for flights within the country – domestic approvals. So, all airports in Nigeria are now opened for domestic flights including those that are in private charter operations will no longer need approvals from us to operate within domestic airports in all government-approved airports and in all government-owned airports.



“However, those airports that are private airports, which I called government-approved airports that are private, the operators should check the safety status with NCAA (Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority). Such airports like Jalingo, Uyo, Asaba, Gombe, Nasarawa, Damaturu, Osubi, etc.

International Flights Resumption Schedule and Approved Airlines

International Airports Open and international flights have resumed! The first commercial flights by Middle East Airlines and British Airways arrived on Saturday, 5 September 2020. Today, more approved airlines start flying!


Today, more approved airlines start flying! Check out this list here for the approved airlines and the schedule for the airlines flying this week here updated by the government on 4 September 2020. This list is continually being updated and we will do our best to inform you.

FLIGHT REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO NIGERIA

Inbound flights into Nigeria must follow all protocols listed here. Key highlights are below:
  • PCR tests must be taken 96 hours before the flight but 72 hours before boarding is preferable. Tests done more than 96 hours before departure are not valid
  • All intending passengers are required to fill out their Health Declaration form and pay for their second (repeat) PCR test on the Nigeria International Travel website 
  • Passengers will undergo thermal screening at the airport and will be required to show their payment form for the second repeat PCR test
  • Airlines will not board passengers who do not show negative PCR test results done within the stipulated 96 hours window 
    • Airlines who do board passengers WITHOUT a negative PCR test will be fined $3,500 per passenger.
    • Non-Nigerians WITHOUT a negative PCR test may be refused entry into Nigeria and the airline will have return the passenger to their departing destination at their own cost 
    • Nigerians WITHOUT a negative PCR test may be allowed entry but will be subjected to 14 days quarantine at a Government approved facility and the passenger must bear the costs 
  • Trolleys will be FREE of charge, there will be no porters and all passengers will be picked up at the car park. FAAN Protocol Services will assist any passengers that need additional help
